If it's still locked, then you can only use it on AT&T. You will have to get it unlocked to use it on another network.

Try HorizonWirelessOnline.com - Horizon Wireless, The World’s Cellular Repair Center ß. Very reputable vendor for unlocking.

well i'm asking...cuz even though it is locked...i remember using an at&t 8700 on a tmobile network w/o any unlocking...so was wondering if i can do the same since both of them are on gsm network and thus no need unlocking.

is there another way of unlocking beside using the 3rd party vendor? if i call at&t up, can i tell them to unlock my device and how much would it cost?

You can't use a locked device on another network. Sorry, can't be done.

You did not use an unlocked AT&T device on T-Mobile. It had to be unlocked.

Read previous post.

Once it's unlocked you can use it on AT&T or T-Mobile (Or Rogers, if you wanted to move to Canada).

Once unlocked, always unlocked. You can switch to another GSM carrier. You can't switch to a CDMA carrier like Verizon or Sprint.

AT&T will not unlock a device for a non-customer. you must be an established customer in good standing in order to receive a free unlock code.

your best bet is to use Horizon wireless
