Default Bug with 9930 ESC key

Please Login to Remove!

So far I love the new device. I have run into an extremely annoying bug though. I don't know what initiates the state, but at some point the ESC key only takes me to the task switcher. No matter what menu/application/screen I'm on pressing the ESC key takes me to the task switcher. Pressing the END CALL key will get me to the home screen again, and a battery pull fixes the issue for a while. Eventually it comes back though. Anyone else seeing this issue?

Doesn't sound like you're the only one. Saw this mentioned on an article from here:

So apparently pressing the power button, and then pressing again fixes it too. At least that doesn't require a battery pull.

I've encountered this as well, wondered if anyone had come up with a way to get the key to reset without doing a hard reset? I don't understand the previous comment about pressing the power key, nothing like that that I've tried has worked. Obviously would rather have a new OS from Verizon/RIM, however the leaked version isn't out there anymore, nor is anything else that I can find, but at a minimum wonder if there is a way to get the key function back in line.

Upgrade to .353 release version. That issue was resolved in either that release or one or two prior...

I have the same problem but found a quick fix until RIM issues a fix: click on end call button - click on the 'alt' and 'aA' button (as if you want to type numbers), click on the escape button. It fixes the problem and the escape button starts working correctly.

Yeah, they've been fixed for a long time. It was only present in the official OS from launch to like three weeks later.
