Default HOWTO: BES / Nokia 6820 setup ???

Hi,

I'm desesperately seeking complete information and tool to properly setup my Nokia 6820 with BES 3.6.

After long Internet searches I found a PDF document describing configuration steps: it refers to an application:
BlackBerry Configuration Tool_English_.zip

I found something that seems fitting the purpose there:
http://www.nokiausa.com/support/phon...,6820i,00.html

but unfortunately I can't get it to connect with my 6820 (although Nokia PC suite works perfectly under IR or BT). It seems pretty old though (2003)

Does anyone know a more recent app to provision the service on BES and 6820?
Could anyone share success stories on enabling service on 6820?

Many thanks in advance!!

On your Nokia 6820 in the menus do you have an entry for Blackberry under Messages?

Hi acnst!

No, nothing related to Blackberry displayed on my phone; just plain email (POP/IMAP).

Did you manage to get the "Blackberry Configuration Tool" PC application to work? Which version?
I'm on NT2000 Pro, with NokiaPC suite installed and working, but "Blackberry Configuration Tool" won't connect to my phone!!
Firware version 4.25 27-05-04 NHL-9

I thought doing the config with PC tool would enable that menu.
Do you mean the menu should be visible prior to anything?

How can I get that enabled?
I know (reading release notes) that the app is in the firmware.
Should my carrier do something to enable that menu?
Is that OTA?

Any alternate mean?

Thanks.

You carrier or a Nokia service center needs to install a Blackberry enabled firmware on your device.
