@tedrex, would you consider also adding the capability to send your shopping list to another BB (MarTick) user? Nevertheless, a nice app! ;)

It is there.

To send:
Once you've opened a list, hit menu 'Copy list to clipboard' .
Switch to BB Mail. Start email. On email body, use 'Paste' menu. Send this email to another MaraTick user.

To receive:
Open email.
Select ( MaraTick data text that start with <shBook ..)->Copy.
Switch to MaraTick main. Then 'Add data from clipboard'. List is added to another users MaraTick.

Note: it will work any BB app, like todo, meeting note, some text web browser etc.
To send the whole list set, MaraTick main use 'Copy all data'

As you can see, the principle is just same as how we copy and paste stuff between applications on regular PC.

tedrex, many thanks for pointing that out. However, something a little easier e.g. "e-mail to :" option would help my wife immensely (not sure it would help me tough) ;) Just something to consider...

Have to say the only complaint I have about this program is that the text next to the different icons is not readable. Other than that I like it.

Had the chance to actually use it yesterday on my trip to Whole Foods. Got my list all typed in between patients and headed to the store. I'm always forgetting something off my list so I really liked the countdown feature.

Also have found another use, on the side I'm a mortgage broker and am constantly bugging clients for their paperwork. Now I can plug everything in and check off the conditions as they're received. I can see Realtors using this app too.

Question for Tedrex: Is there a way to make a template, then do a save as to change the name for each client?

Hi all,
I've uploaded a new 1.0.5 version, which
- has ALT-N working for 7100, 8100 series
- emailing a List
- invert selection bug fix ( selected count)
- shortcut, icon added to move item up/down

give it a try.

Ted

Uploaded new version 1.0.6
- Duplicate menu for selected list copying
- Items on main lists screen can be moved around
- Moving can be triggered via Alt+Click as well
- Some more short cuts
Give it a try.

ERDude,
You can make a template list, and whenever need a fresh copy of it, use 'Duplicate'. And rename the new copy as you wish. Right now it will rename it as "Copy of ...". Hope that it will address your need somehow.

Downloading the update now. Great program.

What I would think would be a nice option. Aleast for me. Is to be able to make a memo for each item in the To-Do list.

Like:
Milk
Note: 2%

Cheese
Note: Cheddar

And so on.

You can simply have them in your dictionary. That is why I added entries in a manner like
milk
milk 1%
milk 2% ..., so that you can pick right one from popup options while typing 'milk'.
Even if you add your own entry like 'milk chocolate', MaraTick will 'learn' it and add to the popup options next time when you type 'mil' or 'milk'

I see what you are saying. But for thing like:

(Work Task)
"Do Reports"
Report #1
Report #2
Report #3

"Call Vendors"
Vendor #1
Vendor #2
Vendor #3

For longer things, with lots of info. In the end this is just something I would like. May not be the way you are going with it.

Ted-

Any chance you can add in an option to NOT have a due date for a list? The main setup screen for a new list requires you to select a due date. I have a few "to do" lists that contain things I need to do, but don't have any deadlines. I'd rather not have to chose a completely arbitrary deadline. I'd prefer just to leave it blank.

Hi Ted,

Great program. Many thanks. Have already made about ten lists.

I agree with the last poster that it would be nice to omit a due date. Also, can you use decimals in the Amount Section. Sorta like, ie 1/2 or 0.5 yds of gravel. And maybe an additional note section on each item where one could input some more info like type/location/price/contact person.

Thanks again and keep up the great work.

i agree, the due date should be optional. my grocery list is permanent, and never has a deadline. this is a great application though! thank you for offering it to us for free. i'm dumping my $30 SplashShopper for this immedietely.

Ted - Looking forward to your Task Tick. Anything has got to be better than the OEM task list supplied by RIM.

This has quickly become one of favorite programs. Not only do I use it for my personal lists and my mortgage business now I'm using it it in the hospital to keep track of what I need to do for my patients.

Thanks Ted
