Default Cradle profile

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

New to the forums and BlackBerry .

I've got the Bold 9700. I've started using it quite frequently, especially at work. I love the LED blinker for new e-mails, but i don't like how it still blinks when it's docked in the cradle.

I'd like the LED to turn off when docked, but can't see any profile for the cradle, at all.

Is this at all possible?

I have created a profile which i manually turn on, but it would be nice for it to automatically turn the LED off!

Can this be done?

Thanks in advanced!

Are you using the OEM blackberry desktop charging cradle and not a 3rd party one?
If so, there is no setting.
It doesn't know its in a cradle, it just knows its charging.
The LED will blink the same as when you have it on a desk, in your pocket etc.

I have the OEM cradle.

Would i be able to do this if i used a 3rd party one?

I think its silly that it doesn't recognise it as an attached device, it doesn't say that my BB is docked! What's the point in that eh?

No idea about 3rd party cradle, unlikely though I would think.

As its merely receiving a current through metal plates instead of the usb port, im not sure how you would make it realise.

I'm thinking that Bedside Mode would take care of this, no?

I have Bedside Mode set to shut off the LED and put it into the Quiet profile (though of course you can set it to be on the current profile or any other depending on preference) when I drop the BB into the cradle.
