Not sure about "nieve", but they're not nearly as foolish or naive as those who are claiming that Windows Phone 7 will result in the death of RIM - before a single Windows Phone 7 device is even available for purchase.

Microsoft has a long way to go to dethrone Blackberry. They want to have both an enterprise and consumer phone and it is hard one to have a best product for both market especially not on the first try. I say first try since this is really a brand new OS attempt from Microsoft.

Blackberry has lot more worries than Microsoft and those are Apple and Google.

We said no to WM7 and android.

We doubled our BB users base and only 4 % more in EAS devices this past year.

I just find it both funny and sad that EAS gives more security control on the iPhone than WM7.

I realize this is off topic, but it's noteworthy so I thought I would pass along...

Hotmail switched to HTTPS throughout your session on the web as opposed to just the login. This makes Hotmail as secure as Gmail when accessing from the web. Keep in mind if you use Outlook Connector it won't work properly anymore. So only make the switch if you aren't using the Outlook Connector.

To do it just log into you Hotmail account and go to "Account" and then under "Other Options" select "enable HTTPS."

Also, the setting used to set up Hotmail through WP7 is m.hotmail.com. That setting gives you the sync. When you put that setting through an iPhone you have a choice to enable SSL or not. WP7 doesn't give you a choice - I am currently investigating what that means (maybe they set it up to use only SSL.) Has anybody put that new Hotmail setting through the BIS??? Wondering what it does. Maybe it will deliver Hotmail IMAP through the BIS...???...

what is this cloud?

is that just a rename of putting your life on the internet for others to steal?

call me old fashion, but i find alot of flaws with the interwebs, as for a user who has been online on the internet using a t1 line prior to the boom of the general public on the net.

i have learned a few things that people dont understand.
it still holds true.

your mother or father once told you, what you dont want others to know, you dont say in public.
why in the world would you put it on the internet then!

this magical cloud, is hype, while it is nice to sync stuff across everything using something free... remember one thing NOTHING IS FREE IN LIFE. what do you think google, microsoft, yahoo gain? you think its just click per ad? LOL.

let me just put the multi million dollar company i run/own all in a public space where you hold no control over users, data, or security. yeh this will work really well! NOT.

think i hijacked this thread. but only thing good about cloud computing is, its easier for the nsa, and hackers to get what they want.

To "cloud" or not to "clould"... definitely a discussion worth having....

I did find out that m.hotmail.com is SSL (it's port 443.) I was able to put it through my N900 and got full sync for email/contacts/calendar/tasks - but can't get it through the BIS. I realize BB won't allow the sync for calendar/contacts/taks... but I was hoping to possibly get the the IMAP part of the email for Hotmail. It's unfortunate we don't get more "say" on how we put the email account settings through the BIS.

You can get the Hotmail full sync through BB but need something like this:

AstraSync - BlackBerry ActiveSync Compatibility - Sync BlackBerry with Exchange ActiveSync Server

This is good news for consumers who want sync through the BB but don't use exchange or hosted exchange... I have not tried it though - just passing along.
