Default mail sent from BB showing incorrect sender name

Please Login to Remove!

I tried searching for a solution, but did not find any.

I recently changed my outlook profile on our exchange server to show the name that everyone knows me by instead of my legal name. All emails sent from my laptop are ok, however when i send mail from my blackberry it still shows it being sent by my legal name. i have tried to wipe and reactivate and set up a new profile on outlook on my laptop but nothing has worked.

for what its worth, i have a 8130 on vzw using bes.

any suggestions are much appreciated.

Did you change your name in active directory? or just the display name in outlook?

It has to be getting the name from somewhere.

From the BES, when you click "add user", what name comes up when you search for your name?

Oh. You may have to find the BES admin to troubleshoot this.

They may not have completely changed it in active directory. Thats all I can think of.

Yes, they didn't change it completely in Active Directory. A common field that is usually missed is the ALIAS field or DISPLAY NAME field. Keep us posted.

Do you know if they had to reboot the BES?
