For me, hands down the 8900 is better! GPS, better camera, much more memory, faster, better looking (in my opinion).

I went from 8120 to 8900 and don't regret it one bit! Faster processor, bigger screen, crisper screen, more memory, integrated GPS to name a few of the positives. I did miss SureType, but have gotten used to the new keyboard and the 8900 rocks!

Ya I made the switch from 8310 to 8900... I would never look back. The 8900 is just an amazing device. I am with Rogers too btw and I am quite sure that GPS is just part of your data usage so as long as you have a data plan you will not be charged extra fees. The only minor complaint I may have is yes the battery life seems a bit short, I am running .206 but I plug it in each night before bed and I have never had to plug it in any earlier so its really not even that bad, for me anyway.

My sentiments exactly. Went from a 8100 to 8900 and don't regret it, either. However, I still think I can type faster with SureType than the full QWERTY.

I would take the 8900 over the 8120, I love the beautiful screen on the 8900, It has a ton of memory, speedy CPU, I like the keyboard(wish it was the size of the bold), I like that it has GPS and WIFI, I didnt care for suretype on the 8100 series.

I had an 8100 for 2 years, upgraded to an 8900 2-3 months ago. The 8100 was very handy and reliable, and good for basic email/phone/limited web stuff. The 8900 is MUCH better screen, really usable for web surfing. Email and communication are much better, as is the camera (for when I don't have my regular camera with me, which is often the case!). I also like the qwerty keyboard and I think it is overall a bit faster than suretype, which is good but not perfect and does require corrections that take time. (I send actual business emails, not just short spelling-and-grammar-don't-matter texts.)

The 8900 is also very thin, doesn't feel much bulkier than the Pearl, and slips easily into any pocket. It feels more like a small computer, whereas the Pearl felt more like a very versatile and compact phone.

The 8900 gives you some much more than the 8120. I put my older 8100 on top of my 8900 and it's just a little wider, really not much.
