differences
Please Login to Remove!
have gone from .167 to .190 and the key differences I have seen are:
Connected to BES:
Ability to view emails in HTML !!!
Ability to search availability of attendees for calendar invites!!
Bluetooth now asks for password before switching on - safer i guess
App Memory free roughly ~ 40mb
No thumbnail issue with pictures
Perfomance quite smooth

All 4 games installed fine but the THK2 is not on the games folder. I thought it was hidden so I chose "show all" but it didn't help. I went to Options > Adv Options > Applications and it's not showing there either. The only thing I deleted from my hard drive was the device.xml file. I know this is nothing big but it's a mystery to me lol.

Yep, I went back to 185 and everything's fine.

I'm assuming that all of you guys are using a Bold that is "locked" correct? Anyone running this .190 with an unlocked Bold? Trying to narrow down to see if there is a correlation with some of the problems. It's a long shot but worth mentioning.

Has anyone noticed an issue where images/text aren't spacing right in the render?
Thay image looks ontop of the txt almost. I don't rememeber having this issue on .162/7(att). Does this also occur on .185 its starting to annoy me. Liking .190 got quite a few more hour glasses but that seemed to go away like ~30 after a reboot/reset. The signal acquisition for the gps is like 400% faster like sub 30-45 second. And the signal for 3g definitley better(but getting fake readings slower updaye to dead zone. Anyone else?

I had a lemon Bold to begin with. The headset that comes with it was full static. I couldn't tell if it was the jack or the headset itself. Also towards the end I was getting feedback when using the speakerphone. It was like it was full duplex or something.
All is well now. New Bold, new OS, unlocked, and all good.

Just upgraded to .190 from .126 and i gotta say that .190 in general seems snappier, apart from the pic thumbnails & opening pics seem a bit laggy compared to .126.
Everything so far seems to work, and it even cured my MMS receiving problem, thats all sorted now (was getting the: Error 500 thingy)!
The only strange thing is that when i go to watch the Speed Racer demo vid, it starts at the 10sec mark, which it never did before, always started from the beggining? (and i have stopped it, reset it to 00:00s and exited, then tried again and always at 10s? Any ideas, can i delete it and reload it?
Otherwise .190 looks good so far, i'll keep you'll posted

This version of .190 must be beta I have noticed some serious flaws in it. Magnum created a theme for me which worked great on .185 however under .190 it's been nothing but a head ache.
The first picture below is what my screen looks like after I custimized the location of my icons under the theme Magnum made and the picture after this one shows what happens to the icons after the BB goes into black mode and I wake it up by pressing any key. The interesting part is when the screen is about to fade to black I see the icons shifting around... If I tap on the BB key (key to the left of the trackball) the icons flip back to normal. Also if I have 4 rows of icons I can't navigate to the 4th row after the screen saver (bottom picture) until I hit the BB key and reset everything.
Secondly I have pre-installed MP3's on my media card, and I have been noticing that when I select random songs and click to play them the media player ends up playing the next song in the list and not the one I selected.
I don't think this is the official .190 and that someone mistakenly posted the beta online because my .185 never did this...

Well if it's from the RIM site it's not a beta - they never post betas, those get leaked which is why linking to them is banned here.
Also, I would blame the "non-standard" theme first before blaming an official release firmware. Sure, it may have broken a use created theme, but that can be a fix that's either clearing a bug that was being exploited (intentionally or by accident) by the theme, or it's simply a new bug which happens unfortunately.
Does the same happen with the default theme?
I do know that each theme has it's own settings as even with two different themes of the same family by the same author, if I change something in one and swap themes, the change is lost. A bit annoying really. Perhaps removing the theme and reinstalling it will clear the problem.

Nope, mines an unlocked version. I don't have the thumbnail issue, but have random reboots and the fact that Live Search doesn't work drives me crazy. I just started having issues with response time when using the trackball and other minor bugs.
Finally went back to .185 this morning and all seems well again, except for that memory leak. But too me that's not a big deal.

All our handsets regardless of make and provider are unlocked here in Luxembourg, and .190 is by far the best performer for me whereas .185 was a disaster.

i just upgraded. and the thumbnail issue is a pain. i can view thumbnails if i go to the 'picture folders' folder, however, if i click 'all pictures' you can view certain thumbnails and you can't the others. it's not THAT big a deal, but oh well, at least the rest of it works great... so far!

That's the dumbest thing I have heard anyone say on here... Welcome to planet earth, here you will find human beings that are prone to making mistakes. As I have already pointed out it's possible someone posted posted the beta .190 not realizing what they did... It's only human.

Yes the glitch happens on the default theme as well.
