i believe T-mobile also uses the 2100MHz freq. for their 3G network? either way i was wrong.

however, I was told that the reason the bold can use data and voice simultaneously is because 3G uses a different frequency than GSM and therefore both can operate independently.

can someone please clear up this confusion for me?

T-Mobile in Europe uses 2100MHz, In the U.S. they took drugs an chose 1700MHz.

Any yes the reason for Voice and Data is the 2 Radios.

The rumor is of a hybrid Touchscreen AND full qwerty device. Other than speculation that I have seen on the web, nothing is truly confirmed/denied. I would guess late 2009.

If past history is any measure, I would guess 6 to 9 months before RIM releases a touch screen unit for AT&T. They have not done any lifetime exclusions yet so let's hope they do not start that SH.. It would be very disappointing.

For the record, the Storm as it currently exists is locked to only verizon for 2 years. That is not to rule out other touch blackberries to other characters but they will not have "The Storm" as verizon has it. Trust me, I am a rep

Why? Apple started this war with multi-year exclusives on the iPhone, so why shouldn't RIM do the same thing if demanded by Verizon? In fact, given the extreme competitive nature of the market, it is fully understandable.
