Man this app is awesome! I have one gripe though. Even though this is in beta, Johnston County, NC is not in my list of channels. Could this be added, or has it been left out of the county listings for some reason? Please add if you can because I work in local goverment in Johnston County, North Carolina. Thanks.

My guess is that we cant get it for county we live in. Security, anyone?
My surrounding counties are also blocked in one form or another

BTW, great software. Very voyeur-ish.

Nope, in most cases, someone in your area just needs to volunteer to provide a scanner audio feed for RadioReference.com. The exception would be if your local police and fire departments decided to encrypt their communications (usually not the case).

this app is GREAT!!! does it only get digital feeds? I notice that the choices in my county were slim.

I have listened in to various counties and states and the program works great. I have zero problems connecting and receiving the feeds.

Nope, you can listen to analog and digital feeds, whatever people volunteer to provide for RadioReference.com

This is awesome! I use my hand held scanner for Nascar usually, but always have my local frequencies on there if I need them. It's come in handy during storms, etc. I can get a couple Maine scanners on the BB, that's great!

I'm using the Scanner and the suburb of Tulsa, OK that I live in (Broken Arrow) is actually loaded under Tulsa County. Works great I love it...... now if it had Tulsa PD that would be even better.......

I tried to put the app through its paces yesterday, and the results were great. I could not really find any issues with it at all. Don't have my local counties but that is what I get for living in the boonies. Great little app overall.

Awesome application. I wish Waukegan, IL was on the list and their was an easier way to add locations but I have the overall county on there. Every since I dl'd it about half an hour ago it has been on. I love it....I'm so nosey :D

I kept getting "Berry Scanner is requesting changes to its application control permissions". No amount of saving the permissions helps and battery pull doesn't work either.

Here is what i did to fix that. From the permissions screen Menu>show all>menu>save. That seemed to do the trick. For some reason or another even if i chose to expand them i wasn't seeing them all.

edit: scratch that. worked once and now its back to constantly requesting changes to the app control permissions. :(

Works great on my Storm. I live in Alamance County in North Carolina and the only channels available are Sherrif and EMS. I checked on RadioReference.com for the police departments in my county. Can you add these? There are references to Burlington, NC police but the tag says Law Talk. There is a frequency for City of Graham police dispatch. Would like to have police for these and also the city of Mebane, NC. Thanks

Ok I just checked the live audio feeds on radioreference and I see that the police departments are included in the Alamance County sherrif feed.

I released version 0.5.0 last night (available at http://ota.bbscanner.com/) which includes many fixes and improvements and also includes audio from weather radio stations (from WunderGround.com).

The red and blue light blinking is awesome. (I could only take it for a few minutes, but it was darn cool!) Next on my list would be "favorites" so you didn't have to search each time. I sent you a DM on Twitter, no Maine on the weather radio? Strange...no one broadcasting that state?

It's on my To Do list. Before I implement that I'm going to rework the directory portion of the app so that it doesn't have to download the entire directory on start-up, only what it needs to display the next directory screen.

The weather radio feeds come from WunderGround.com, they must not have a volunteer there providing audio from a weather station in the area.
