Default "Not a Blackberry Device"

Please Login to Remove!

Hello all,

I tried seaching the forum first on this topic, but could not locate anything.

The Storm is my 3rd BB (previous models > 7100t & 8700g). On the 8700g I was able to download the Bank of America icon on my BB. However, when I try to access the site http://mobilebanking.bankofamerica.com/bb/ to download the icon, I can the following error message : "This is not a BlackBerry device."

I've accessed the site with by Browser Identification set to "BlackBerry, Firefox & Internet Explorer".

Also, when I access the Verizon site on my browser (default page that was set on my BB), I get the following error message: "Sorry, we are unable to recognize your handset. Error Code: 400"

Any ideas on these?

Thanks.

I'm not sure I understand downloading the bofa icon.

I am also a bofa online banking user but I am new to the BlackBerry scene.

Apparently new users of this forum don't have the priviledge of posting links. Otherwise I would post the link I have been using for bofa online banking.

Bank of America may have not tested with BlackBerry OS v4.7.

Since they are a financial institution - and subject to a litany of privacy/security/confidentiality regulations - they will not "agree" or "promote" their service (whether it actually works or not) unless the device has been canvassed/vetted by their security folks.

Sometimes it's more about them making certain that there aren't any security risks than blindly stating that a device works.

As an aside, their customer service is pretty much useless. To get a solid answer you'll have to know someone that works in Chicago (former NationsBank), Dallas (security operations), or Charlotte.
