Question:
I have installed an SD Media Card, turned Mass Storage Options on. Formatted the card. I manually copied a PDF file to the memory card via Windows Explorer.

How do I find and open it with the Pearl? I don't find any sort of file manager app...

What you want to do is go into DM and create a folder that us named "documents" or something like that. Then go to media ---> menu ---> explore ---> media card ---> blackberry and then select the folder that you created, it should be there.

You can store it there but you can't open it. Only media will open, not documents.

Actually, Idokorro makes an app called mobile file manager that allows you to navigate anywhere and manipulate files. Not freeware, but i think it's less than 50 bucks.

I'm running the trial version right now and generally like it. I'm sure I'll end up buying it. I actually like it more for its remote file capabilities.

Go into Media, click the menu button and click "explore." You still won't be able to open the .pdf file. if I need to view a word doc or excel file I will just attach it to an email to myself. Then I can view the attachment.
