Actually what I meant is I am on .415 version, and it works for me. So there must be a way, likely just a setting problem like what you said.

I upgraded from .222 last night and I must say that it's a big improvement. I downgraded back to 5.0.0.975 because .222 was too laggy and had some bugs I found but this build is perfectly okay.

-no "scrolling" between days on calender
-random reboots (no idea why)
-inability to delete from message list (not just SMS messages now, but emails as well)
-battery life (although mine has always sucked, I always keep a spare battery and charger near-by) not sure OS6 related.

Also, hate that the contact app doesn't let you turn off pictures so more contacts fit on the screen. Anyone know how to turn that off?

I plugged my Bold in to synchronize it this morning and it told me it was time to go to 6. So I let it. Nice job RIM - I think I really like the update. I also think it's more stable. The Facebook app was crashing 5 consistently - so far today it's running solid. Nice changes ... really gives it a fresh look. OS/5 was looking a little old.

I took the plunge last night and gave up my superbly tuned OS 5.0.0.699 for OS 6.0.0.415. What motivated me was my lust for the upcoming Bold Touch. I figure I should be familiar with the new OS by the time Sprint gets the 9930. I've also been fielding a lot of user questions on OS 6. Time to dive in.

It's smooth and snappy, and battery life seems equal to or better than OS 5.
Not a fan of the calendar. Although it finally blocks out the entire appointment rather than displaying a single block with a line down the time axis, the entire calendar got smaller! Seems if you're going to take away available display space, this is where you might want the old-style appointment blocking. But what do I know?

Not a fan of the tray. From the home screen you used to simply hit the Menu key. Now the Menu key brings out - wait for it - a menu. From that menu the user selects "open tray" and gets the screen with all the icons. Extra step, and totally pointless IMHO.

I appears to me that RIM "Disney'ed up" the look of the BlackBerry OS. Clearly OS 6 was designed with the Torch in mind. My 9650 screen is a bit cramped and crowded now. Maybe a theme would alleviate some of this cramped feeling. It's particularly egregious on the home screen which is where a theme does the most good. Maybe it's just that I'm such a luddite. I pine for the days of the scroll wheel on the side of my 7105t. Ah, simpler times!

Do a fast swipe downward on the trackpad and the tray will open up. No need to press the Menu key.

More bothersome items:

Caller ID pics are to tiny! They're the size of an MicroSD memory card. Maybe they're bigger on the Torch with it's bigger screen, but on my 9650 I'd prefer to simply turn them off completely.

Viigo isn't supported (yet) on OS 6 on the Bold. It's not RIM's problem, it's Viigo's. But the fact remains that I lost the use of this app when I upgraded my OS. No matter who's fault it is, it still sucks.

It is RIM's problem. They bought Viigo in March 2010: RIM Acquires BlackBerry-App Maker Viigo.

I was a Viigo user, but now that I am on OS6, I use Blackberry News Feeds.

Looks like it's BlackBerry News Feeds for me too. I'm certainly not in love with OS 6 and coiuld downgrade easily enough, but OS 6 is the future. Might as well get on board.

I HATE change. I still pine for my old 7105t and thumb scroll wheel on the side.

BlackBerry News Feeds is awesome! I was a HUGE fan of Viigo, but BBNF is making me forget all about it. I particularly like the unified feed list rather than Viigo's method of breaking down your feeds by category.

I get my financial news feeds, tech blogs, and even TMZ.com for my fix of gossip. Yup - I just have to know what's up with the Jersey Shore crew. It's like a train wreck: you want to look away but you just can't.

I'm still on .415 and I have no Google Calendar sync. I have the options for it, and it was working fine under OS 5, but under this version of OS 6 it does't work. Was this a known or common issue? And if so, did later versions fix it?
