Hi--I have a new 8110 and cannot seem to get it to synch with my Entourage 2008 using PocketMac. I get the very same error that it says has been fixed on the Blackberry website--Error 1--skipping.
HOW DO I GET THIS FIXED??? Without my contacts, this phone is practically unusable.

Error 1 Skipping. I don't anything more than this. It seems to start synch process, but then hangs up and aborts with this error message. It is referenced as "fixed" when you download the PocketMac software on the BB website (under Software support)--the msg saying this comes up just before you click to download. Net result is that nothing happens in the synch.

I tried 1 time to sync my BB to Entourage and I got f u c .......screwed. Ended up with about 20,000 blank calendar entries. THAT took a while to unwind. Anywho, I had contact sync issues as well and I found a not so elegant workaround.

Sync Entourage (in Entourage setup) with iCal and Address Book on your Mac. Then set PocketMac to sync with iCal and Address Book. Worked for me. I know it isn't a great and wonderful solution, but it does work. Just be sure that if there is any data in iCal or Address book that you either want it there or you clean it out because it will land on your BB. I deleted my calendars and all Address Book entries before I started.

You will likely have to give PocketMac some time to work out their issues with Entourage 2008. I am told by a very good friend that 2004 with his BB works nearly flawlessly.

I have now tried a) synching my contacts/calendar/tasks from Entourage to mac, then trying to synch ONLY with mac applications (addressbook, ical, etc) using pocketmac. Get same Error1:Skipping notice and b) looking in MAC section--found a mention on pocketmac that they're working on fix for above error as it relates to new 2008 Entourage.

Entourage 2008 is currently not supported when using the newest version of Pocketmac. However, you are most likely experiencing 2 issues right now.

Error 1 skipping could be multiple reasons, but possibly due to the drivers on the mac not successfully detecting your Blackberry.

Either way, like i said, your program is not supported, so you will need to import your information into iCal or address book, for example.
