Default Wireless Message Reconciliation stays Disabled

Please Login to Remove!

Hi

I've been looking to the archives, but haven't found a clear solution for this problem:

When adding a user in Blackberry Manager, his account says "Wireless message reconciliation: Disabled", although the IT Policy for this is Enabled.

I've tried deleting the user and readding him, but still the same thing. Any ideas?

First post, btw, so I need to add more info, please tell me so!

This is by default. Once you will start activation it will switch to enabled.

Also what is your version of BES, and the backend mail system?

I noticed that on one release of Domino BES, ALL users showed "wireless message reconciliati9on: disabled" in BlackBerry Manager on BES, even though they were all working. Be aware of:

We're still using BES version 4.1.2.20. The mail system is Exchange.

An upgrade would fix the problem? Getting permission for that is gonna be hell, I can just feel it.

4.1.5 has been released, painless upgrade for most. Took me less than 15 minutes with 35 users.

I couldn't say with any certainty what version of BES for Exchange was affected, if any - I just remember after a BES upgrade on my Domino system everything showed up as disabled, even when it was all working perfectly fine. The next upgrade seemed to clear it.

If you're on version 4.1.2.20, I would recommend an upgrade. They are incremental, as opposed to a whole new release, so not chargeable and not massive changes to system (except maybe 4.1.5, some new features in that).

I am (rightly or wrongly) from the school of thought that I never go to the newest release. I let others "test" it in live environments for at least a fortnight, but usually a month or more, before I make the change. But upgrading to a newer "known good" release (4.1.4 latest MR) should be a fairly easy upgrade, with few negatives, and a lot of positives (bug fixes).

Just my opinion...

Upgrade your BES purely to get right click functionality back
