Default Easy question I hope:- unknown icon

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I've been handed a 7130 this morning with an unknown icon on it. I suspect it might be messenger related but the user doesn't have any contact or pending requests etc. Please could you have a look at the attached image and reply if you know the reason for the icon.

Cheers,
Matt

On my T-Mobile device the BB Messenger icon is a round smily face. Maybe it's the notification for some third-party app like JiveTalk?

There are no third party apps on unfortunately, they are just using the basic apps.

It looks like a standard theme. In that case it can't be BB Messenger. That icon would appear in the top.

Do a little problem shooting. Check messages and the like to see if it goes away.

On the other hand, maybe aliens are contacting you. Good luck with that.

Looks like someone spray painted your BB screen while you were not looking.

If I remember correctly, that is the OLD notification for BB Messenger. What OS do you have on your device?

its either the OLD BB messenger as stated above, or it is an IM notification. I am going to go with the former, especially with the O2 theme.

Default Unknown message Icon

above the 4th row of icons I have a " 1 with what looks like a red dot on top of the smilie face", Look like my PTT icon but it's a little bit bigger and has the 1 and red mark. I thought it was a message in one of my messages boxes.... aol, yahoo, PIN, SMS, MMS, instant message but i have searched them all for unopen and unread and nothing is showing, I have tryied a battery pull to see if that would get rid of it to no avail. so what is is ?
