We have an ISA server for proxy and websense filter 172.16.32.2
We have a corporate firewall 172.16.32.10
Machines are set via GP to proxy to ISA but default gateway is 32.10 for VPN etc to other site. BES 5 server is set the same way.
Bes browser account created and internet settings are to go via proxy.

Tested and users can get to internet. Bypassing proxy - access to porn etc
So create rule on firewall to deny all http requests from anywhere other than
proxy.
Tested again - no internet. Bunch of 400 errors blah blah blah. Hits on that firewall rule go up. Odd - Wondered if MDS is working. So I stop service
Start up BBs no internet - mds service not responding. Great thats what I expect. MDS is running and configured to point at proxy but BB's are not doing it.

I can get filtered web access at the BES service - no porn etc. BB's seem to be going out the default gateway for internet access. Why?

Could I have wrong MDS proxy settings? Or is it something more obvious?

I never tried a proxy on BES but the above KB might help.
