Whats wrong with 12 hours of battery life? Thats pretty standard. You can't fix something that ain't broke.

12 hours is pretty good! I wouldn't complain. What are you expecting and what are you comparing it to?

What kinds of phones are you guys using?????

He said he's not even using his phone and it's done after 12 hours.... That's awful.

I just upgraded to OS 5.0 and after 12 hours and light usage my phone is still at 80% battery life.....

Not using email?
No apps running in the background?
Left the wifi on?

Totally not enough info and everyone will just be making guesses.

Also, turn down screen brightness significantly... Mine is at 50% and it's looks fine for my eyes... Make sure Automatically Dim Backlight is set to off.... And as the user above said, make sure you aren't running applications constantly..... To properly exit/close out of many applications you need to actually hit the Blackberry key and select CLOSE upon which the phone will prompt you to confirm.... Just hitting or holding the Back/Exit key will keep the application running in the background.....
