This seems to only be useful for accessing and managing your gmail account, but it doesn't seem to have any sort of notification when you receive new mail.

The page is http://www.handango.com/pdablast/Pla...oductId=171365

Hmmmmm, $19.99 to check your mail on a free account? That does not work for me. Handango is over priced anyway.

I decided to install the trial and I am not able to get it to work. Getting "Bad DNS Address" errors. I will mess with it a little more and see what happens.

It should also be mentioned that Gmail now has a basic HTML view that allows us to access it via the BB browser. Gmail Mobile and its forebears were more useful before this feature became available a few months back.

Why would you want that if you can configure gmail account to forward everything to the BWC? There is a thread here that describes how to do that and then you simply use standard BlackBerry? Am I missing something?

If I ever need to check my Hotmail I just go to mobile.msn.com, I don't have it forward to my BlackBerry...most the time its junk and its not my primary email address... I want to check it, but not receive push notification...

Maybe that is a reason why you might like to use this GMail thing?

I agree that there's not much need to access Gmail via browser or 3d party apps. But because Gmail is often used as an archive, there may be occasions when you need to search for information that you sent or received a few months back, and the e-mail is no longer available on your BB. I've run into this situation a few times, and greatly appreciated the ability to search through my old e-mail on the road. I wouldn't pay $20 for this feature, but fortunately Gmail has obviated the need to do so with its Basic HTML interface.

Could be useful to some, but I see it as extra steps. My gmail account is already forwarded to my berry, and unless im mistaking, I dont see anything extra that can be done with this.

Aaron, Gmail Mobile is not only tool for getting mail, it supports native features of www GMail client like starring, labeling, searching, etc. It gives you an opportunity to see all headers of messages that you have in your account without loading full message to device. We tried to make its look closest possible to native GMAil service, and so it’s that easy to use!
