Hi Newbie here..I'm trying to download a theme from themes4BB website and its a OTA app. when I click on link(from phone) I get a
"HTTP 406: "Not Acceptable" "the page you are trying to load is not supported by the browser. Please try loading a different Page"

Is there another browser I should be using...I'm using the one that came with by new BB curve.

I have the current OP system installed and on Verizon network and before I call them I thought I ask here first..You all are very knowledgeable!

Do you have a BB data plan for your device? You should be using the BB browser.

Is this a personal or company provided device?

Is the theme specifically for the BB 8830?

Yes I do have the BB data plan~and I do believe Im using the BB interent browser, I haven't installed any others.

This is a personal phone

and yes the theme is specifically for the 8330 phone

they do however under the forum state "The OTA install method is easy and fast and requires no PC or USB cables. You should use the Internet browser on your BlackBerry (not the WAP browser) to navigate to this web page containing the link for the installation. "

not sure what the WAP browser is.

Do you have the 8330 or the 8830? This is in the 8300 section but your profile show the 8830. Please update your profile if it's not current.

Have you tried a battery pull?

Go to options-security-firewall and make sure the browser is acceptable

I do have the curve 8330..just updated my profile..thanks for noting. I just did a battery pull and went back to site..same message :(

ok I went security etc and at top it says disables and on the very bottom it says "not Encrypted 1 blocked. how do I veiw this blocked item..maybe its there site.

Check to be sure that your Browser emulation is set to BlackBerry.

While in the Browser, press Menu, select Options, go to Browser Configuration, scroll to Emulation Mode.

Thanks for your response...I am on emulation...but im still curious about that blocked item as posted above

tomorrow i will call verizon and see if they can help or even call BB support
