I just got my Pearl today and as I was playing with it in phone mode I hit the menu button > Options > General Options > Ringtone Lighting

I thought this was interesting so I turned it to Trackball and had my phone called but nothing happened. What is this setting supposed to do?

It is supposed to light up your trackball when your phone rings.

That's actually really good to know because it doesn't work and now I know it's something I need to talk to service about.

Pulling the battery (while the BB is powered on) will often fix small glitches like that.

I did try that about three times. Its just a no go for some reason. It does the exact same thing whether it's in 'off' or 'trackball' mode. I guess it's just a quirk of the one I got.

It only lights up when the ringer is on. If the phone is on vibrate or silent nothing happens or when the Pearl vibrates before it rings.
