Default Battery life shorter than 8800?

Please Login to Remove!

Reading through that slideshow that BG posted a while back outlining the Indigo (8800) and Crimson models, I noticed that while the 8800 has a larger, 1400mAhr battery, it still lists the Crimson with an 1100mAhr battery (like the 8700). Perhaps they had to sacrifice some battery size to fit that camera in there. It'll be interesting to hear how the 8300 battery life stacks up to the (IMO) excellent battery life of the 8800.

I'll look forward to more BG reports and comparison photos which he mentioned were coming in the next few days...

I'm sure Stinsonddog will tell us all just how bad the battery life will be.

Great, If you could check on the inclusion of A2DP that would be great too. I am very interested in that as well.

As for battery life, was the 8700 really that bad? Obviously battery life is in that catagory where more is always better then less but I had no problems working with the battery life of the 8700 series.

I thought the battery life on the 8700 was pretty damn good. of course it looks bad after using the 8800.
