Default Disappointed in 2 features on my Tour

Please Login to Remove!

Well, I want to love my new Tour, but how can the world's standard in an email device not allow you to create email folders (ie a folder for "Emails from mom" or a folder for "emails from my employees", etc.
I imagine this feature is available if you use the corporate enterprise version, but even the basic email should have the option to create folders! Now, with every email just saved in one folder, you might never find a particuilar email if you had 100's saved....and while I'm whining--what a cheesy, tedious, and time-consuming appointment calendar. I heard that Pimlico's "Datebook" will soon be available soon as a 3rd party app on the Tour. I used it on Palm for 10 years. It's a fantastic planner!

Ok, I feel better now...Bill

I've used DateBK on Treos and it was the main thing that kept me using them. I've been whining for years that I want a grid view in the calendar. That week-at-a-glance view like an old-fashioned paper date book. It's absolutely perfect for my general level of scheduling and really gives me a feel for how my week is shaping up. Unfortunately, I have not heard anything about Pimlico making any BlackBerry version of DateBK. I've tried Pocket Informant for BlackBerry, but I feel it's still not ready.

As for sorting mail into sub-folders, that is a feature of BES. We BIS users just have to do without.

"Wow" is now overused. Therefore, I will use "Magic bananas" instead.

Somehow I doubt it will ever happen.
Are you within your return period? You might consider switching back to a Palm device before it's too late.

Welcome to the forum.

And FYI, the folder thing is a limitation of ALL devices using BIS, not just the Tour.

Hope you're able to find some things you do like, otherwise you may want to take penguin's advice. BlackBerry devices aren't for everyone.
