I thought I'd put this in the Mac Users Corners since it's an issue with syncing (and I use a Mac) but I'm not sure if it's a mac issue...

I synced my brand new 8800 with iCal, Address Book, Mail and Stickies, and lo and behold, I had less than a megabyte free!! So I deleted the Stickies from the BB and I have a few megs free now, but it still only shows 17140400 Bytes free and File Total 63569920 bytes. This seems like an awful lot of memory taken up. I have all media on the SD card, and only installed a couple of other apps, which couldn't total more than a meg or two at the MOST.

Is there a way to pull up a list of memory usage?
Can the sync I've done really take up that much room?!?

Thanks for that. What a brilliant FAQ It certainly helped clear up some memory. Can I check how much space the syncing is taking up?

You will need to wait for a Mac expert to chime in on how you can ceck as I am a Linux guy myself....

As far as the original Q goes... Anything on the microSD card will NOT count towards the memory on the device....

If you have images or songs on the device then move them to the media card...

Applications have to stay on the BB but songs, video, music can all be moved from the device to the card....

Yup, I made sure all my media is safely tucked away on the microSD.

Yup, same here. Good ole Feisty Fawn. I haven't tried my BB with it yet, but I'm sure it would be fun! Do you prefer Ubuntu or OS X when it comes to the BB?

Mac has far better support than Linux does.... Right now us Linux users can't do much... Thanks to rivviepop over in the Linux area, we can do some...

Hi I have the same phone and i plugged in a 2 gig microSD i filled it, mostly with music and it was great for a while, but now i deleted all the music via synch to my Mac and tried putting new songs on but it says that the card is full. how can i fix this?
