Thanks for the heads-up, Yorrick, I've been waiting for that one.

I've downloaded and installed it and, for a beta, it's pretty slick and robust.

It opens all the books I've purchased over the years from eReader.com (even back in the days when it was Palmreader.com). Except my dictionary -- I have a 600,000 word 40 MB Merriam-Webster. The error message that pops up is that dictionaries are not supported in this version; never mind, eReader said this on their website and that such support will be available in future versions.

Other .pdb and .prc books I've downloaded from time to time off the 'Net are not in the list of books on the BB, so do not work; there seems no way of accessing them. They work okay with eReader on my Dell Axim but I get an "Error synchronising the book list with the filesystem" pop-up when I start eReader on the BB. They are not visible on the eReader Bookshelf. But it's a work in progress so maybe access to those will come with future versions.

Fonts are as crisp and clear as any on a Pearl may be and the interface is nice. Looking forward to the update already.

That's what I see, too. Does Alt + Back display only running apps or can it also incude recently opened ones?

The eReader people admit this is not a bug-free app yet so maybe this is another one they're working on before it goes Gold. Or maybe it runs in the background while a book is open so you don't lose your place?

I never opened a book the App doesn't seem to close itself, which can use data and drain the battery faster...

Alt + Back does display only running applictions.
