The new weather looks slick, as do the task/appointment edit screens (although I almost missed them because I have "native" turned on).
I also see you now how 2 line e-mail.
I used to be able to press "t" twice in order to get to the built-in task application. Why would I want to do this? I'm not sure if I should "trust" PocketDay to properly handle repeating tasks. I rely on repeating tasks working correctly, so I used to go to the native task application in order to mark an "instance" of a task as complete. I don't think PD handles this, if memory services.
That being the case, I need a quick way (t-t was good enough for me) to get to the native app.
I think the "Google" box looks nice, but it's a little confusing to have to select "Other Search Options" from the pop-up menu (is there a quicker way - I see a triangle, but can't manage to get at it) and then to see the old-style "Search?" area appear.
While I'm at, I might as well mention that "GoTo..." in the stock area (this is not the Pro version) doesn't do anything. Didn't in the past version, either. Do I need Pro in order to get at additional information? If so, why the "GoTo..." option if it doesn't do anything?
Anyway, thanks for the upgrade. It was like Christmas when I saw your post, crs!

In the download links for PocketDay Pro, under operating system version, it says 4.2 (Pearl /81xx / 83xx / 88xx
The only other option is 4.1
What about the 87xx devices with OS 4.2? Which one should I download?

Love the new search box! Thanks for keeping up and improving all the time! Maybe next can be a slicker currency converter, although it works fine as it is.

Loving the changes.
I also noticed that when creating a new task in the PD application, when I check it in the BB tasks application it shows as being an hour earlier?????
Yep, just checked it and now there is an hour difference in all my tasks. most I created in BB but in PD they show as an hour later......

Since I installed the lastest version: 5.3 and the update from this morning: 5.3.1
The weather isn't working like it should, here are screen shots of the 48 hour and 7 day forecast.

When you first launched pocketday you were presented with a screen that told you if the weather wasn't working that you would have to reset your weather location codes.
Go to pocketday settings / weather, then scroll to the location code field, press menu then lookup and re-lookup your location.

I never saw the message about if the weather wasn't working, but I just followed the steps you mentioned above and all is working fine now.
Thanks

World Time
I was having the same problems with the weather, but followed crs's advice and it's working well now. However, in the older version and in this version, I try to change/update my World Time locations but they won't change from the defaults, i.e. New York, London, Tokyo. Has anyone else had this problem or can anyone offer me solutions to resolve this?

To change World Time, you have to set the Name and the new Timezone.

Love the new build. Now on to make next nag/feature request. When you have an attached contact with a meeting or task I would like that contact to show up in the main screen. From the main screen, without opening the meeting/task, it would be nice to have the BB menu show:
> Call <Contact Name>
> Email <Contact Name>
> SMS <Contact Name>
If you could do this it would be killer, saving the user a step numerous times per day!

Am using the current version of PD: 5.3.0.1 and having the following problems
I have mapped a couple of keys to use the "Next section up" and "Next section down" feature
1) Moving either up or down it skips right over the Google/search function. I.e if I have in the following order Calendar, Search, Tasks and try to move down a section from Calendar to Search it will go to Tasks and skip Search altogether. Same thing happens if I try to move up from Tasks.
2) Using the the "Next section down" key will not go to the last section that you have listed in your settings. It will not let you go any further than your next to last section. On the other hand, if you start at the last section and use the "Next section up" key you can go all the way thru to your first section (unless Search is your last section in which case you have to start with the next to last one).
Everything seemed OK before the patch to 5.3
Anyone else having these problems?

crs, I see the changes you made to the weather so that more text fits on the screen on the 81xx series phones.
Is it possible to shorten some of the text so that it all fits?
For example, in this screenshot:
Can you change "Current Condition:" to "Current:" or "Currently:" or something else much shorter?
Also, the last updated date/time is still being cut off. Can the date format be changed to "Fri, 5/2/08 13:58:42..." or something like that so that it would fit?
Thanks for the quick replies and updates!
