I've found this online, 8900 Curve OS 4.6.1.231.

Any comments, has someone already updated?

I've done, and my phone stuck @ slpash screen with Tmobile logo. I've back to previous OS.

I had .231 on my 8900 for a few days. Then, .239 found it's way onto the internet and now I am running that.

The only quirk I have found with both is that my "Downloads" folder disappeard and all the icons/apps I had in there went into the "Home" directory.

On .239, any improvements over .202?

With Version .231, I could not synch my clendar entries, I am now using .239 and so far it's running smooth.

how is battery life, i need to get better mileage with mine, 8hrs just doesn't cut it

I have about two weeks of experience using my new 8900 after switching from an 8310. I think that those talk time and standby numbers are for phone-only usage and are not typical for how most people use their BlackBerry. For me, the amount that I use wifi affects my battery life a bunch. So, I turn off wifi unless I actually intend to use it - like at home or when I am at lunch where there's a hotspot. For most things just using EDGE works fine and saves my battery. Also, some applications such as Amaze use a lot of battery power because usage of the internet is pretty continuous during travel. On a trip I use a car charger so that I will have some battery reserve when I arrive.

I've been running the 4.6 os for about 2 weeks and a half and so far the Curve its been working at is maximum performance and the battery last longer than when i got the phone!!!!
I rate the OS 9.5!!!!

i downloaded the 5.0 software for the 8900 and im trying it out now. i will update when i have fooled around with it.

forget it. i just played with it and Facebook doesnt work but other than that its pretty good. i want the facebook feature so i am uninstalling it. the browser is much quicker though. it has a bunch of nice features.
