If it doesnt upgrade itself then you should delete the old one.

i got done downloading the v.2 with the roxio. i can't still put videos in my device, because everytime i do, it says, " one more thing can't be transfer" . do anyone know whats wrong..

i got one of the video in which is a MOV. but whenever i go to my video folder and go watch the video, it doesn't work. it just shows black....

some videos i put, it says "an error has occurred attempting to play media" i don't know why it's doing this.. did i do something wrong.. becuase it was a AVI file...

Not all avi files are created equal. Even though it is an avi file it does not mean that the Pearl can play it. The sticky at the top of the 8100 page is the one you want to look at or use the roxio converter that comes with the latest dm.

mencoder -vf scale=240:180 <input file> -o <output file> -of avi -ovc lavc -oac lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:vbitrate=230:acodec=mp3:abitrate=64

Excuse my noobyness, but how exactly do you write the input/output codes and how do I open a MS DOS window? Do I keep the <>'s?

when i drag the video to the box then i click on the first one "Convert for Optimal Playback"

then it pops out...saying "One or more of the following files could not be transferred: SD530216.avi"

video converter? i'm just using the Media manager of roxio. I'm not using any video converter. all i do is drag the movie i want to the box then it says that.
