there is no app yet, none of the existing versions work on the torch...definitely if everyone uses the link provided by tvdinner, we can put a lot of pressure on sirius to get on this...here is the canadian version of the link SIRIUS Satellite Radio Canada - Contact Us

Just offering a suggestion: Has anyone tried accessing the Howard Stern show via other carriers and apps? Like say via Shoutcast, say via the Tunewiki app, or via some other am/fm and/or internet radio streaming app..?

I don't listen to the Howard Stern show, but did a search via Shoutcast via the Tunewiki app and found a handful of stations coming up which air the Howard Stern show (its a matter I guess of finding one that is airing it when you want to listen, or tuning in when its being aired moreorless regionally).

May suffice in the interim?

The app is out but it would appear that it's not available for the Torch. I tried the free trial, but it wouldn't work. That may because I tried the Storm 9500. But then, there's no app for the Torch.

Howard is definitely on the xm/sirius app now, my husband gets it on his iPhone......I've written and called xm radio 3 times so far, and all I've gotten is they are sorry for my inconvenience and they're working on this issue......this is frustrating, especially because I've always argued with my husband that my BB is better than his iPhone, but now he'll play xm radio off his iPhone and just smirk.... Im hating my Torch lately...

Careful not to associate one third party app with being with being a "better" device.

The shoutcast / tunewiki is an option, but is seemingly dependant on others uploading the broadcast. So it's not "live" and may be a couple of days late.

If listening to Howard Stern on Sirius satellite radio is the #1 reason you own a smartphone, then yes you should absolutely make the switch. Personally, the primary reason I own my BlackBerry is first as a PHONE, second as a business EMAIL device. Multimedia entertainment comes fairly far down my list - but then that's just me.

Is there a Sirius/XM app for the 9800/Torch that works currently. Please advise and THANK YOU in advance.
James

I have been trying to get an answer to the same question. I just spoke with Customer Care at Sirius and they informed me there are NO plans to ad the Torch to the list of supported phones.
Time to upgrade to the iPhone.

The bigger joke might be spending time hunting down a six month old thread to post that useless rant on.
