Looks like the Canadian cariers delayed in order to get .246 on the 9800 at time of lanch. Adopted soon thereafter by AT&T. From reading the posts, .246 is a significant improvement over earlier OS versions.

The only issue I am having is that after a reboot, (whether software initiated on install of new program or because of battery pull) twelve programs (twitter, facebook etc) appear prior to my arranged folders. I can rearrange my "desktop" to how I want it but the issue showes again on a reboot.

Default 6.0 Bundle 278 to 695

If I elect to upgrade my Torch OS from 6.0 278 to 695, do I need to rerun Enterprise Activation for my BES corporate email? Or can I just restore it from my backup?

What about other applications that I've downloaded?

This will be the first time I've attempted an OS upgrade, and not sure it's worth the trouble if I have to reload a lot of stuff.

I have not tried an update of OS on my Torch, as it came loaded with .246. However, for me when I updated my 9000 while connected to my office computer with DM, I was automatically reactivated (9 out of 10 times) on the BES. If not, it was not a big deal for IT to generate and e-mail an activation code. Given that all major carriers, at&t, Rogers, Telus etc have gone to .246, I cannot see your IT dept giving you any flack about updating to .246. Just make sure they are around just in case you need a BES activation code.
Apps should reinstall automatically.

Mine came with this version pre-installed from Rogers. No issues I can see.

Need beta tester for music streaming apps for Torch. Jam11 is a music application that enables users to stream iTunes music off their PC or Mac onto their Blackberry phones. We are looking for few testers who have a torch and other 6.0 OS phones and have an iTunes music account on PC or Mac.
