Well I sadly sold my Bold 9000 to upgrade to the Bold 9700. The phone is extremely sick compared the the OG Bold but I do miss the keyboard to the 9000, it was so perfect to text on, the 9700 is too small; 9000 was more manly. Other then that, the trackpad is so amazing. Check it out.
P.S. I miss my Bold 9000 :(

ya see thats my main problem with the 9700. they keyboard is smaller and i don't really see that the typing will be the same. I tried the actual phone on several occasions and im still not digging it over the OG Bold. keyboard is smaller and the screen...man the screen is small already on the Bizzle and going even smaller is a no no, im sorry. Aside from the battery life, it has no advantage of the Original. And i was so bummed out with it came out as a bold replacement cause it looks like a curve. There are three curves out now and still no real Bold update. Shame on Rim. BUT hey, if u're happy with it...that's all that matters

Agree...I ditched the 9700 and went back to my 9000. Couldn't be happier myself.

I still have a OG Bold and patiently to get the 9700. I'll gladly trade anyone with the 9700 who wants to go back to the 9000.

Size (I don't need to carry around a brick) and I prefer the 9700 both due to the size and the fact that T-Mobile UMA works brilliantly on it.

I was gonna go with the new 9700, as an early upgrade, but decided to stick with the 9000 -- Mostly because the price jumped from 49.99 after rebate to 99.99 after rebate...

I, too, replaced my Bold 9000 handset with the Bold 9700(called Bold2) and I am very happy with it. No going back to old Bold! The screen is much better iand the touch pad is a real advantage over the track ball!

And the keyboard isn't too small for you? I noticed that I was making a lot of typos, because of the condensed KB.

You never know, someone might want to make that deal.

There was a guy that I work with that had the 9700 shortly after it came out and returned it withing the 30 day trial period and got the 9000. The funny thing is I started to ask him, jokingly, if he would want to switch his 9700 for my Bold.

I wish I would have now.

Does anyone know if RIM is planning on debuting any other devices before July? I was going to upgrade to the Bold2, but held back in case anything better comes along...

Wirelessly posted (NXTL7520)

Doesn't the 9700 have double the app memory (256) over the 9000 (128) ?
