Yeah, i was mistaken. 6.3 is out for VIPs only. I havent had a chance to run 6.3 yet, but i can tell you that the brand new .882 leak for 8900 is amazing... its a hell of a lot better than the 6.2 hybrid i was running

Willyboy 9700 v6.2
Willyboy 8900 v6.2
Willyboy 9000 v6.2
Willyboy 85xx v6.2

Instructions: Install your favorite base OS (such as .743), and copy the Java folder into it, overwriting the original. Run loader.exe to install. Enjoy!

PS. Profiteering off others' intellectual property, regardless of how much it is or where the money goes, is simply wrong. Creating a pay-wall and locking RIM files under registration codes to force VIP membership (ie, increase profit) is exactly the opposite of what the hybrid community needs. Either share and contribute by posting leaks, or don't. Hoarding and trickling modules to generate revenue and/or increase online e-peen status is unjustifiable douchebaggery.

interesting. thanks.

Though I think they made do whatever they want since they feel they have exerted enough effort to make a hybrid by mix matching different cod files... Most likely, these are just done in spare time and he just sees it fit that some form of revenue come out of it. Willyboy did release a java folder where he got the 6.0 files.

The VIP thing just lets you see it earlier than usual cause he does make it public sooner or later.

I don't know, I just think you need to give him credit of some sort.

Just a question. I wiped my device (to a 507 error) Then extracted and copied the files from "Willys V7" into the base OS folder, replacing everything.

I installed the OS after using the shrink OS thing. Everything worked well. But am I still supposed to have my core apps show up as 5.0.0?

Just wondering if I've actually installed a hybrid OS or if I've somehow just installed the base OS.

Thanks!

you probably did everything properly.

go to options > apps to check the versions of individual components, you should see a few 6.X files there.

9700 v7 is out now...

http://hotfile.com/dl/60683606/78957...ys_v7.rar.html

"
This is a hybrid for the Bold 9700 device. I recommend uninstalling any other OSxxx8217;s off of your computer and running CCleaner (including registry cleaner) to ensure a clean install. Please back up all your data before proceeding.

-This is meant to install over the following OS:
9700: LEAKED 5.0.0.862
-Run Willyboy 9700 v7.exe to install the hybrid over the base. (If you are asked to create a new directory, you are doing it wrong)
-"Exit" the installer, Shrink-A-OS will pop up. Shrink out all languages you do not need to save space. DO NOT shrink out default fonts and themes. (Thanks to
-If you choose to wipe, now would be the time to do it.
-Launch loader from SAOS. If core applications are missing from loader selection, try launching from BBSAK or BBMCP.

This is a .857/.862/6.0.0.31/.135/.141 build.

-East Asian Language support is included and fully functional.
-Google Maps v4.4.0, UberTwitter v0.98, Twitter for BlackBerry v1.0.0.45, newest App World, FourSquare v1.9, LED Reset, and Xtreme Labs Speedtest are all included.
-Includes all stock Blackberry games and IM Applications with loader options.
-Includes an option to install the NEW Driphter.com Mobile Launcher!
-BIG thanks to Lyricidal for allowing me to use his new BBH TOOL! This will pop up instead of Shrink-A-OS after the install but it functions just the same.... only better! Check out his work at http://bbhybrids.net!

I ran .862 as the base java and it performed like a champ by itself! Of course, I added the obligatory 6.0 files. I even included some from the newest 9800 leak! I also brought some .857 in this build for fun

It is important to keep in mind that the first couple reboots will take a lot longer than normal. Also, battery life will not be good until the device settles which usually takes 24-48 hours. If you have it loaded and are experiencing sub-par performance, consider wiping a reloading. Another helpful utility is to every once in a while give your phone a security wipe.

Device/About Screen/Help Screen
9700/5.0.0.862/6.0.0.31
If you want to verify you installed otherwise, go to Options>Applications>Menu>Modules and scroll down to see the .857/6.0.0.141 files. "
