Do you lock your BB?

I wish I didn't have to. It gets to be a pain. Sadly I have to protect some unlisted numbers. So, yes, I lock mine.

Yep. Dropped mine in a restaurant one time. Almost didn't get it back. Have locked ever since.

I lock mine with letters next to each other so I can do it with 1 hand when I'm busy.
Sim is locked too.

I lock mine, primarily to prevent unauthorized calls when it is in my pocket! Also, don't want any access to my email if I were to lose it.

IT Policy locks mine since it's a work BB. But if I had my own, I'd still lock it.

Locked.
Mandizzle: Options -> Advanced -> SIM Card -> Menu -> Enable Security. You'll need to set the PIN.

When I do that it tells me "incorrect code" and says I only have 4 tries left.

The default PIN is usually 00000 or 12345. If it's neither, you'll need to call your carrier and they will help you reset it after asking for your SIM ID. Make sure they can help before using up the 4 tries, because after that, the SIM gets locked and you will be unable to register on the network, make calls, etc, until the SIM is unlocked. The carrier should be able to help you unlock it, but make sure they can first.

Currently, I don't lock my BB. While I do have Autolock and have tried it off and on, it'll probably take something drastic to get me to use it consistently (like lose the phone, have mysterious unknown long distance calls, or whatnot).
Not all alerts, caller information, etc. work while locked, and that's primarily my reason for not using it. Yet.

I carry mine in my back pocket...if I didn't have it autolock, I'd probably call China with my butt.

You should see caller information even if the phone is locked. If you do not see your caller pictures/info, or wallpaper when you lock your phone, it's probably because you enabled the encryption of content/address book from security settings.

Download it here first.
If you just want to lock your phone after N minutes of inactivity, you can do so from the security options screen, no third-party software required.
