Any idea what this is? I have this symbol xxx8734; on top of the screen and I cannot make sense of what it is.

Is that the voicemail icon? I haven't seen the infinity symbol, and since they don't retail BlackBerrys... Voicemail normallly looks like a (very) small cassette tape.

According to your theme you are using, some icons are in different places.

What theme are you using? If it's Zen....it's not voicemail, but may be a "secure connection".

well if it is not voicemail then it might be secure connection. didnt they make that symbol universal for all systems to imply a voicemail? i do know however that on the vodaphone skin the voice mail icon looks like a message icon

That's what the voicemail icon looks like on older BB's.

I know...I use Zen on an 8703e....and the infinity symbol is very differnet from the cassette icon.

I'm guessing as well that it is VM. Call your number and see if it shows up. Easiest way to confirm or deny.
