Just charge it to 100% and it shuts off. Then discharge it to around 15-20% and charge it again. Do that for 3 cycles and then, after that, charge it whenever you want.

How do you know though that it is at 100%? My screen has been black the whole time and there are no indications that anything is happening.
Okay, I just checked it again before sending, by pressing the on key and it shows four bars, but that has only been about 3-hrs.I've been looking for many hours on google and some say 24 hrs.
So to discharge it, how do I do that?

Hope this was alright to ask here on this thread of similar question?

Go to Options/Status. You'll see the battery level there!

when I press on the phone symbol on right I get four bars showing, but I don't know how to get to Options/Status. How do you click on the icons on the screen? Is it one of those?

Sorry, but I am really new and unfamiliar with a BB. I've looked in all the books they sent but they don't say how long it takes to get to fully charged. Neither does the Demo online say.

Does it need to be activated first to use these icons?

Thanks.

When you are on an icon, it says which one it is at the bottom. The Options icon is the tool. Then, select Status.

Sorry, but I scrolled through all the Icons and didn't see any that said Options. Could you tell me what the Icon looks like, and what key do you use to Select the Icon to open it? Is there more than one set of Icons that I am not seeing?
