Hi...
I noticed that our BES server has older versions of mapi32.dll and cdo.dll than our Exchange server. I would like to get them to the same versions. I've read a KB article on blackberry.com that describes how to copy over and re-register the updated cdo.dll file, but I haven't seen anything related to updating the mapi32.dll file. Basically, I want to safely update my 2 files but am unsure how to handle the mapi32.dll.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I really don't know why people do the copy / paste, unregister / register ... there is no need to do it that way.

What version of Exchange are you running? Service Pack too ... and mapi32.dll and cdo.dll versions.

mapi32.dll - 6.5.7638.1
cdo.dll - 6.5.7651.61

BPS Server - 4.1.4.17
mapi32.dll - 6.5.6944.0
cdo.dll - 6.5.6944.0

I've also noticed that the calendar appointments now have the regular message icon when receiving a meeting request on the blackberry.

If you run Microsoft Update on your BPS server, you should see available patches for Exchange that'll update your MAPI/CDO dll. Install them.

i've never tried that. i'm not the exchange admin either. i'll have to check that out.

I was hoping a Microsoft Update would take care of the issue, but unfortunately, there are no avialable Exchange updates when I run Microsoft Update-->Custom...

Is there a manual file I can download and patch the system with that will update my exchange components?

ExchangeMapiCdo.EXE - Should be able to find it on MS's site
