Exclamation red light and display turned off

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone.

I changed the card to my BB but the display doesn't turn on and the red light flashes.

Could it be that I deactivated the pin code from another mobile and the BB sees that the card was tampered?

Does the red light flash 4 times or does the red light stay on steady. If it is the latter, just wait until the bold turns on. The reason why it does that is because when you take out the battery to put the Sim Card in, the bold has to restart.

Well when i put the sim card the red light stays on steady and after 3 seconds it flashes 4 times. I saw that it happens when the sim card is not inserted into the BB too.

I'm thinking that the problem is the battery, 'cause it doesn't charge. In fact in this moment the light is not flashing and the BB doesn't turn on.

Try plugging it into the charger and see what happens.

When I had this issue I had to wipe the device completely with jl cmder and restore it to factory. It took quite a few tries before it even worked that way. Today I had the steady red light which brought back bad memories but luckily this is just a battery issue. Good luck!
