Question 8120 Newb Questions

Please Login to Remove!

Ok, first sorry for what will probably be dumb questions but I'm getting old and all this technology is starting to pass me by.

I have a 8100 on TMo and am considering getting the 8120.

1. Will/Can calls be routed over WiFi without subscribing to @Home?

2. If the answer to #1 is yes, am I correct that minutes will still be deducted from my monthly allottment?

3. If I also get @Home can I make calls on any open WiFi network? That is, unsecured (or secured for which I have a passkey) hotel, office, airport, etc. networks. Or can I only use my home network plus TMo HotSpots?

4. Finally, anyone have any idea when the @Home - Talk Forever is scheduled to roll out to the rest of the country?

Thanks!

1 yes, you can make calls over wifi if you're not subscribed to @home

2 yes, your monthly alloted minutes will be deducted.

3 yes, any wifi network as long as the network has a supported router.

4 they're working on it. lol

**must use a t-mobile branded phone. unlocked wifi phones from other carriers will not support this feature**
