I have noticed that this version of voice dialing is more assertive. The other day:

me: "Call John Smith".
BB: "Which number?"
me: "Mobile"
BB: "Calling... Next time say 'Call John Smith, mobile'"!

Now, in addition to my boss, my wife and my kids, I have my BB telling me what to do!

LMAO! Dude that is hilarious. But at least its giving tips, maybe it'll offer one that you actually like in the future.

Applications> Menu: Show All. (possibly).

BBMapsLauncher, may need to be re-installed? I'm worried about this as well and not upgrading just yet.

I haven't installed this version yet but I'm worried that visual voicemail with AT&T will not work. I currently have .405 & that just got released on 12/18...Should I wait before I upgrade or is this new version so good that I should upgrade now? Any thoughts?

You can train the voice dialing system, pretty cool! It makes you say a bunch of commands and then customizes itself to your voice.

AT&T VVM works with this release... This appears to be the most solid OS yet - no issues at all for me.

Battery life is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better than .421 i'm literally at 90% after light use today, whereas yesterday on .421 i was at 40-50% with similar use.

I agree with you, if the only change is battery life then I will wait.

I felt the battery life on 423 was much worse than on 421, so I went back.

And that's what makes horse racing (as they say).

I'm actually finding battery life on .423 to be better than .421. What I've found on occasion though, is that after a firmware update, the GPS screen shows the GPS being on, even though I've disabled that before. When that happens, obviously battery life takes a major hit. Now, whenever I do a f/w update, I always check the GPS and GPS location aiding feature to make sure they are completely off. I don't use the maps feature on the BB, so I have no use for the GPS. My Garmin does a much better job for navigation.

Default Blackberry attachmet service question

Hey all,
I have just purchased a Blackberry 9700 at&t running BIS (have a T-Mobile 9700 BES for work) and can't seem to get the Blackberry Attachment services program to show up in the apploader on the AT&T 9700 w/BIS.

I have downloaded the most recent OS (as well as .405 for at&t) yet I can not seem to find the Blackberry Attachment Service application as an option to load in loader.exe.

Is the Attachment Service app only on BES? Is it buried somewhere? Is it hidden by at&t?

The reason I am asking is because I can't see PDF attachments right now on my emails.

Apologize if this is in the wrong place but was hopeful that because this was a thread on the new OS version that those who have installed it would be able to point me toward what I am missing when trying to add Blackberry Attachment Service to my new 9700.

Thanks in advance.

Default Message List Option

Can someone please verify if the "Message List Option" is available in this build. This can be found under Messages>Options.

Thanks!
