Just type a zip code and then label it whatever you want.

No problem. You can also check the box that says 'Enable Home Screen Update' and then move it to your home page row and it will display the current temp on your stand by screen. I also chose to have it display conditions+temp for the Icon this way you get the temp in numerals and the back ground is a sun or a moon or whatever which is a nice touch. Then, when you move the cursor over to it you will get the details that pop up. I don't care what other programs are available or what they do because this one already does everything I wanted and that was just real time temps on the home page.

Do I have to go through the desktop manager application to install this program? It looked like I should be able to install this right from the BB

I like this one a lot but it doesn't show current temp on the home-screen; you have to click and go to its live feed to see what the current weather is. Still, it is a lovely home-screen application.

Great app. It uses data from weather.com (The weather channel) but the format is so much easier to use on the BB. I've hidden my weather.com icon now.

Latest revision of BB Weather (in this thread) has addressed most of my wish list now that the icon shows the current temp and the rollover message can show conditions and temp -- tiny change, huge benefit. Ideally, it would be nice to be able to explicitly control the font from within BB Weather, rather than have it inherit the global BB settings. I also miss the alerts that Weatherbug gives (amazing variety of alerts you can get, including tornadoes, earthquakes, nuclear war, yellow alerts, etc -- not that you need them all hopefully, but it's a nice feature, and I DO like getting flash flood alerts, severe weather, etc. -- only thing currently missing from BB Weather as far as I'm concerned).

Does anyone else notice that when you power the phone on the icon reads 'NA' until you click on it even if you have the box checked to automatically launch at startup?

Yes, I'm still looking for a solution. If you wait the 30 minutes until the next homescreen update it will work correctly. I am thinking that BBWeather loads and tries to connect to the weather site before all of the network protocols are fully booted.

It would be good to add the option to attempt connection more frequently until connected (e.g., every 5 mins?) on initial startup. (wouldn't want to necessarily do this all the time, as it might turn into a resource hog when you're connectivity is limited). As a general rule, I like to make features like this "soft" (i.e., user definable) rather than hard coded.
