Default Problems restoring data to my 8800, please help?

Please Login to Remove!

Hey every one, I got rid of some software today using my application loader (tried to get rid of PocketDay, which didn't work), I ended up with an empty phone. Fortunately I had a backup, when I tried to restore my data, the system came with an error saying "Could not establish communications with device. A required application is missing from device".

I read on the 8100 forum about a simular issue, this user had to install the BlackBerry Md5 Runtime software

Does this work for my phone (8800) as well, if it does, where do I download this piece of software?

Thank you!!

A little bump for myself, is there anyone who knows what's going on here?

Blue Eyes, one, you could pull the battery on the BB and try it again, and see if the problem error persists.

If not, reload the the OS to the phone, and then selectively restore those databases (like address, etc.???) to the BB after the US update.

PS, the runtime module won't be available on your PC desktop to reinstall to the BB unless you have a current copy of your current handheld OS on your desktop PC as well.
