Hi Logan, I am running v1.2 (could not download v1.3 OTA) and am not getting any popup notifications? Eveything else working great. Anything else I may not have set up correctly? Thanks.

On the same note, it would be great to have the popup option per notification type - for example I may only like to receive a popup for SMS and Missed calls, not emails...

By pop up all it means is that the screen will come to the foreground after a minute. It will show you an alert log there.

Logan,

I set BBAlerts to flash RED for missed phone calls. And it Flashes RED like it's supposed to, but only two flashes, then it stop flashing. And it only flashes red.

Hope this helps!

I just downloaded OTA for my pearl running the newest telefonica s/w, and I get a "false SMS" alert about 2 times a day, when I go into the log, it shows something about WAP and tmobile... I was going to copy the exact contents into the post but once I read the log it disappears...

OK sounds like TMobile is sending an sms to the device twice a day or so. If it's a TMobile wide problem I might be able to fix it. Get the message if you can.

Nah you can only purchase through Handango as you need a registration code which is generated when you purchase.

Hmm one day I may build a web application to do this but it is a long way off for sure.

Default Program Not opening on my 7250

I just downloaded the new BB Alerts and get an error message after the install, the program failed to open. I also have PocketDay on my 7250 OS 4.0.2.29 device and wonder if there is a compatibility issue. My main reason is to get an audible missed voice mail alert.

I don't know if it matters but my carrier is USCellular

I think it can be run with pocket day. Not sure about your error, you could try a battery pull reboot. I have seen in testing it not load up because the permissions request screen doesn't show for some reason.

I'm not sure if this was already addressed, but would it be possible to add LED notification support for different applications.

Yahoo! Messenger would be nice
also blackberry messenger (if it is it doesn't work on my phone)

One more thing, I actually got a replacement phone today, i purchased the program, and I was told (from the t-mobile rep) that your PIN carries over with your sim card. I tried to register the program again with my new device (same phone 8100) but it's saying invalid registration number, any help?

Default New Link?

I cannot reach the 'handago' link on the first post. Is there an alternate link? This product sounds like exactly like what I want.
TIA.

Hi logan,

I've been running and evaluating your program for the last few days and like it. Have a few questions though. I'm running the 1.3 version I downloaded OTA from the link you provided in this thread. I see that Handango still has 1.2 - is 1.3 not in release yet?

Also, the "cycling" LED colors for multiple alerts - it works well for SMS and emails - cycles both colors I have set. But if I get a missed call, then the LED reverts to the single color I have for phone, and no longer cycles through the other colors. Are you intending to fix that?

Also, when you have alerts and pickup the phone it immediately goes to the page displaying all the alerts and I always instantly "delete all". I'm really not interested in that, and would prefer to enable JUST the multi-colored LEDS - is that possible - to disable that alert screen from continuing to come up?

Finally, I've had some bad experiences with Handango. If you have, or could set up a PayPal account, I'd *much* rather pay you directly and give you ALL the money as the developer - even if I have to wait a day or so for you to get back to me with the activation code in email.

Let me know, and thanks!

I had to replace some garbage characters with the pound sign (#) because they were showing as simply a black square (must have been some extended ascii characters)

1.3 Version is working well but I was thinking of a scenario that could be a problem, the LED right now ignores the schedule.

So once I fix that then it's good to go. I have noticed that on some devices an incoming call is for some reason similar to touching the keyboard or trackwheel. So what you are seeing is the email/sms alerts being cleared by the incoming call and then when you miss the call then it starts on the missed call alert.

There are options in 1.3 to not log alerts and if you turn off the option to pop up on notification then the screen will stay in the background.

Hi Logan,
I was curious, I went through most of the forums but didn't see anything, does your software allow for missed call/voicemail persistent audible reminders? Not sure if that is covered by the Frequency feature.

Thanks

Default Error after install

I installed via the desktop install link onto my AT&T 7780 (v4.0.0.171). When I attempt to access the application, I receive:
Error Starting BlackBerryAlerts :
Class 'net.rim.blackberry.api.homescreen.HomeScreen' not found

I'm hoping there is a fix or alternate install package. This product sounds exactly like what I need and would like to purchase.
