Default Tmobile 8320 : 3.5mm jack too?

Please Login to Remove!

On BG's original in-hand post about the wi-fi 8320 (which we can basically assume will be coming out for tmobile when wi fi at home or whatever launches this summer), he mentioned that, unlike its 8300 counterpart, it didnt seem to have a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Can anyone who has had the 8320 in hand confirm or deny this? If 8320 doesnt have the 3.5, that would really suck since the possibility of a wi-fi enabled BB that could use great stereo headphones- in other words an ACTUAL iphone competitor- would be gone.

please, say it aint so

So the NDA is only over for those with the 8300?

I hope the T-Mobile one has a 3.5mm headphone jack.

If the 8300 has the 3.5mm jack, all should in the series. I do not think that RIM will use anything but the correct size jack in the future as this is what people want/need. The smaller jack was left over with their old headsets. The new models will sport the new jacks if they want to be touted as being user friendly!

Easy, someone out there broke their NDA. Nice way to get fire if they found out who it was.
I myself would of loved to have shared a lot of info on the 8300 but no way I'm braking NDA, I respect RIM and my connections with them way too much.

If it's 2.5mm (which is doubtful) you'd just need an adapter.

true, but the adapters are bulky and inconvenient, and they never truly sound as good. what i want, FINALLY, is a BB on tmobile that i can just plug some really nice cans into as if it were an ipod, load up with 4gb of music, and throw away the nano. oh well.

BG does not get his stuff from RIM, he gets it from people who are breaking their NDAs with RIM.

Default in other news: 8320 update

went to the tmobile store in palo alto today and asked about the headphone jack. although the guy had no clue bout that, he DID know about the 8320. he confirmed that:

- tmobile employees have been informed about the device as part of their "wifi at home" training.
- it will have wifi (duh) and is coming out in "late june."
- wifi at home will work with ANY wifi spot that is open or for which you have the key (so not just at home, as others have speculated).
