Unhappy 8320 Bricked?????

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, I have a 8320 Curve that is driving me nuts!!!!!

When I insert the battery, or connect it to the pc, the LED stays on for about a minute, then starts to flash.

The phone is not recognised at all by the pc, and it doesn't matter what USB port its connected too either.

I have tried every program out there to try and get this phone to connect, but nothing seems to work.

When I try to use the apploader to reinstall the OS, I don't even get the option of USB: Unknown, as the window is blank.

Any help in trying to solve this would be fantastic.

Cheers.

Is this a replacement or an older BB that you are trying to make usable? Your profile says that you have a 9000.

Have you tried using a different USB cable?

Have you tried a new battery?

Have you tried BBSAK (BB Swiss Army Knife) rather than DM? Use Google to find it.

Hi Dubdub, thanks for your reply.

I do have a 9000 Bold as my main phone, the 8320 is just a spare backup phone I have.

I have tried about 6 different USB cables, no connection.

I have tried 4 fully charged batteries, again nothing.

I have tried BBSAK, JL cmder, Crackmem, Crack Util, BB MCP, a command line loader with /nojvm and still no connection with the computer.

I have tried different versions of BB DM, various versions of the phones OS, but all I ever see is a solid LED for about a minute or so, then it starts to flash twice in rapid succession.

There is no water damage to the phone, as all of the indicators are still white.

This thing really has got me stumped now, and I think it might just be DEAD altogether.

Sounds like it. How long has it been out of service?

I'm not really sure, as I bought it as faulty, hoping to repair it.

The person I bought it off said, that he tried to update it, and it never worked afterwards, but I think he may have done something more serious to it, and just wouldn't admit to it, .
