Angry can not receive texts

Please Login to Remove!

So for some reason I am not able to receive text messages. I sent multiple texts to my phone from another phone and they never showed up. I can send texts with no problem though. Also my old texts have magically disappeared and my SMS folder is empty. I have my settings set to keep the texts for 30 days and texts I received a few days ago are gone.

My phone is also not saving placed, received or missed calls in my call log. This sounds like a simple fix but I just can't figure it out. Help please!

Welcome to the Forum.

Have you tried a battery pull?

Thank you, and no. Is that the removal of the battery?

Sounds like you just need to do a soft reset.

Yes. With the device powered on, remove the battery. Count to 10 then put the battery back in and wait for the device to reboot itself.

Thanks for your help. The battery pull worked and I can receive texts again. Any reason why that happens so I'll know in the future?

BB are sometimes fussy. RIM recommends to perform a battery pulls regularly. I personnaly do it only once a month and only when I have issues.
Not to worry.

What he said.

Think of your Blackberry as a computer. If you leave your Windows PC running for weeks and weeks without ever giving it a reboot you're sure to run into problems sooner or later.
