Default A2dp?

So now that we all have seen the pictures of the standard headphone jack on the 8300 (which is a very nice addition I might add), what is the word with A2DP? Anyone heard any rumors?

Very good question! While I'm not sure that it will appear on the fully qwerty devices targeting the corporate users, I would not be suprized to see it appear on the next rev of consumer BlackBerrys. However that said, I've not heard anything about it from a few of the reliable sources I have. But then again, I've not asked to now I will.

Cheers......

There's no leaking of hard specs yet, but according to BG's leaker, it's AT&T's intent to position the QWERTY 8300 as "a media device".

Maybe I'm a pessimist, but I doubt they will have A2DP in this device when it first comes out.

RIM just put a camera and music player in for the first time in the company's history with the Pearl. The multimedia function works, but it's not the greatest and really I think A2DP is an advanced multimedia function. IMO they should get the Camera and the Player right before adding something like A2DP...maybe even just start off with 3.5mm jack support.

So any updates to this topic? Anyone heard anything about A2DP on the 8300?

Yeah I saw that. I just don't see how they expect to market this as a "media device" when just about every other competing "media device" offers more (namely A2DP). I think the 8300 will have A2DP personally, especially since RIM has already noted they will be adding A2DP to the 8800. They know the demand is out there.
