My Phone Froze and when i restarted it all my contacts except for one disapeared in my address book. It only shows one contact 6 times. In options, it shows 264 entries?? If i type a name from the main screen 50% of my contacts will show. If i recieve calls or text messages only 50% of contacts will show as well.

I have already tried going to filters and unchecking every box. Doesnt work.
I have also taken battery out and let sit for 5 mins...Doesnt Work.

I would do another battery pull first. Don't ask me why, but people have reported it taking two or three pulls sometimes to resolve a problem.

Also, are you using a google app or plugin, or just the stock address book?

Contacts/Address Book > Menu Button > Filter > uncheck all the boxes

I am just using the address book the phone came with.
I have tried taking the battery out 6 times now...Doesnt work
I have also checked the filters 500 times now..nothing is checked.
I am also now getting an Uncaught Exception:java.lang.nullpointerexception everytime i restart my phone and sometimes when i go onto my facebook app.

If it were me and I had a recent backup or sync with Outlook, here is what I would do: Use desktop manager to selectively clear the address book data base. Then either selectively restore the address book from backup or re-sync Outlook -> BlackBerry.

Also look for what may have corrupted the address book database. I don't use facebook so don't know, but if the facebook app sync's with your contacts, I'd be suspicious of it. Whatever you do suspect, leave it be and see if this happens again. If it does, disable whatever it is and see if that fixes the problem.
