Default Hard Decision..Advice?

Please Login to Remove!

Okay hey guys, This is my first post! I have sold my HTC Hd2 Because I hated it. Now I'm looking into Blackberry!
Im looking at the Bold 9000 Or the Curve 8900 Or 8500.

There all about the same price on Ebay. So which one is really the better deal?

Thanks!!

I'd get a 9700 over any of those.

Or just don't - lol - i've sold my BlackBerries used off Kijiji or Craigslist - I always say...for your safety and mine, and to prove that this phone isn't stolen, let's meet at some [mall] and go straight to a carrier's shop - that way they can run the ESN and prove to you it isn't stolen. If the buyer's got nothing to hide - do it this way

The Bold 9000 will give you voice + data @ the same time (3G) vs the 8900 which isn't 3G (slower, but SMALLER), and no voice + Data @ the same time

I'm on TELUS - still on EVDO rev. A - no voice + data @ the same time, and since i'm voice intensive - that's a pain - maybe this should be a buying factor for you

I.e. Being on the phone + surfing the web at the same time. In my case, the fact that I can't be on the phone and get notified of email is bad for me...

No, the 8900 doesn't have 3G - but it is smaller. My better half chose the 8900 simply because she didn't want to deal with the 9000 which is...heftier, and she didn't need 3G.

Coming from the HD2, the 9000 will seem small.

The 8900 was a more entry-level device and sacrificed features to keep the price down.

Between the Bold 9000 and the 85xx series I'd say it's a matter of taste. Go to a store and p,ay with each one. Very different keypads on those models so see which style suits you better.

Actually, (going from the 9000 to the hd2) the hd2 touchscreen keyboard is ridiculasly small compared to the 9000 qwerty keyboard.

But ive gone to a really cheap flip phone, though havent decided whether to sell my hd2 yet.
