Default Trend Micro WFBS Advanced blocks websites on my BB

Please Login to Remove!

Last night I had an cable outage and I wanted to access sbhacker.net from my phone.

When I went to the page it said that the Trend Micro Security Agent was blocking access to the website.

Now I handle all of the BES accounts for my company but I do not over see my own BES that is handled by my Boss. Apparently he was fuxing around with our Server and installed Trend Micro WFBA 6.0 and now it blocks a lot of the sites I use to go to for computer forums (yet it doesn't block any porn. Go figure.)

He said he did this on Friday and it is becoming annoying.

How can I make it so the internet traffic isn't routed through my BES and not be blocked by Trend Micro.

FYI; I have 9 BES that are on SBS 2003 that are also running Trend Micro WFBS Advanced and I had 6 people try to access sbhacker.net and they could so it is something he did.

Thanks in advance.

Just a quick update: It is only through the Blackberry Browser. I installed Opera and all of the blocked sites are now accessible.

Use the browser provided by your wireless carrier instead of "BlackBerry Browser".

In Blackberry Browser, click the menu button and choose options.

Then under General Properties, set the default browser to Internet Browser.

Or, you know, simply turn down the settings in Trend - it's their firewall that is preventing you from browsing and it can be fully tuned to what is and isn't allowed. You don't have to have the same settings for every computer - and it's the server that has the BES on it that is causing you grief.
